About Hoorya

Hi! I’m a third-year BDS student at Fatima Memorial College of Medicine & Dentistry with a genuine passion for Biology. I achieved 7 A*s in my O Levels, consistently scored highly in Biology throughout school, and have also earned distinctions during my BDS.

Teaching has always been something I truly enjoy. Over the years, I’ve helped my younger siblings and classmates understand challenging concepts, and seeing their confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding. It made me realize that the right teacher can completely change the way a student feels about a subject.

I want to teach because I believe every student deserves to experience Biology as an exciting and meaningful subject rather than one that feels difficult or overwhelming. My aim is to simplify complex topics, strengthen conceptual understanding, and help students develop confidence in solving exam questions independently.

My lessons focus on understanding rather than memorization. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and enjoy the learning process. Alongside building strong concepts, I also share practical exam techniques and study strategies to help students achieve the best possible grades.

Whether you’re aiming to improve your understanding or striving for an A*, I’ll work with you every step of the way to help you reach your goals, In shaa Allah.

About the lesson

Biology has always been my favorite subject, and my academic journey reflects that passion. I achieved 7 A*s in my O Levels and have continued to excel throughout dental school, earning distinctions during my BDS. My strong academic background allows me to teach Biology with both confidence and clarity.

My teaching philosophy is simple: I don’t believe in rote memorisation , I believe in understanding. Once a student’s concepts are clear, Biology transforms from a difficult, lengthy subject into one that is logical, fascinating, and enjoyable. My goal is not just to help students memorize facts for an exam, but to help them truly understand the subject so they can apply their knowledge with confidence.

Having taught my younger siblings, I have seen firsthand how the right teaching approach can completely change a student’s attitude towards Biology. They began to genuinely enjoy the subject, and that is exactly the experience I hope to create for every student I teach. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s pace, ensuring they never feel overwhelmed or bored.

I am committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities. With dedication from both of us, I am confident that students can achieve excellent In shaa Allah, even A grades*, while developing a genuine interest and appreciation for Biology that lasts far beyond their exams.
