About Kamala
I have 16 years of experience teaching Piano to college students and enjoy helping learners build both technical skills and musical confidence. My goal is to create a positive learning experience where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring music, and improving at their own pace.
My teaching style is student-focused and flexible. I understand that every learner has different strengths and challenges, so I customize lessons according to individual goals and learning speed. I use simple explanations and practical demonstrations to make every topic easy to understand, even for beginners.
One of the strengths of my teaching is using innovative learning methods that keep students engaged. I combine traditional piano lessons with interactive activities, digital learning resources, ear training, rhythm practice, song-based learning, and creative exercises. This balanced approach helps students understand theory while developing practical playing skills.
During lessons, students improve their finger technique, music reading, timing, chords, scales, posture, expression, and performance skills. I also teach smart practice strategies that help students make better use of their practice time. Regular feedback and personalized improvement plans ensure continuous progress.
I believe that patience, encouragement, and consistency are the keys to successful learning. My classes are supportive, well-structured, and enjoyable, allowing students to develop confidence while achieving their musical goals.

My teaching methodology is centered on helping students build strong piano skills while enjoying every lesson. I understand that each learner is unique, so I prepare customized lessons that match their abilities and musical goals.
Real-life examples help students understand music naturally. I compare rhythm with everyday activities and teach theory through songs students recognize. Practical case studies show how musicians apply these ideas during practice and live performances.
Understanding is the foundation of my teaching. I encourage students to ask questions, think independently, and understand every concept before moving forward. This creates confident and creative musicians.
Communication plays an important role in my classes. I explain every lesson in simple English, demonstrate techniques clearly, and provide regular feedback that supports steady improvement.
Integrity guides my teaching through honesty, professionalism, respect, and commitment. Besides piano, I also teach keyboard, music theory, sight reading, ear training, improvisation, rhythm training, accompaniment, and beginner composition.
