About Michelle

I have 39 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences. Throughout my professional career, I have mentored students across schools, colleges, and universities, helping learners develop strong mathematical foundations through supportive instruction, practical applications, and personalized guidance. Watching students transform uncertainty into confidence continues to inspire my dedication to teaching.

One student initially struggled with vector mathematics because visualizing magnitude, direction, and spatial relationships proved difficult. Together we explored graphical representations, engineering applications, and step-by-step problem-solving strategies that gradually strengthened conceptual understanding. Through regular practice and detailed feedback, the student achieved outstanding examination results and developed lasting confidence in advanced mathematics.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy focuses on developing mathematical understanding through logical reasoning, curiosity, and practical application. Before instruction begins, I assess each student's academic strengths, learning preferences, and educational objectives to create a personalized learning pathway. Lessons are carefully structured to strengthen conceptual understanding while encouraging independent thinking, analytical reasoning, and confident problem-solving.

Students receive comprehensive instruction in Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Probability, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Modeling, Vector Mathematics, and introductory Differential Equations. Every lesson combines conceptual explanations, visual demonstrations, collaborative investigations, guided discussions, technology-supported learning, and practical applications that help students connect mathematical concepts across multiple disciplines. Students regularly communicate their reasoning, compare alternative solution methods, and strengthen mathematical confidence through active participation.

Practical examples from aviation, renewable energy, business intelligence, healthcare analytics, manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and operations management demonstrate how mathematics supports innovation across many professional fields. Students participate in analytical investigations, mathematical modeling projects, cumulative review activities, and performance assessments that strengthen critical thinking while improving long-term understanding.
