About Justin

Hello, and welcome!

My name is Dr. Justin Grace, and I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), former university nursing professor, and experienced clinician with over a decade of healthcare experience.

My career began in emergency medical services as an EMT before becoming a Registered Nurse. Throughout my nursing career, I have worked across a variety of settings including pediatrics, emergency and trauma care, psychiatric care, and academic nursing education. I later completed my Master of Science in Nursing and Post-Master's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner training before earning my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.

In addition to clinical practice, I served as a full-time Assistant Professor of Nursing, where I taught undergraduate nursing students in pediatric nursing, mental health nursing, clinical reasoning, NCLEX preparation, and professional development. Teaching remains one of my greatest passions, and I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence while mastering complex concepts.

My approach to tutoring is supportive, practical, and individualized. I understand that every student learns differently. Some students need help understanding difficult material, while others need assistance organizing information, improving study habits, preparing for examinations, developing clinical judgment, or building confidence before entering practice. My goal is to meet students where they are and help them achieve success in a way that fits their unique learning style.

About the lesson

My lessons are flexible, individualized, and built around how you learn best.

Some students learn best by talking through concepts out loud. Others prefer diagrams, whiteboards, visual explanations, practice questions, case studies, flashcards, or real-world examples. My goal is not simply to help you memorize information—it's to help you understand it in a way that sticks.

We can work on virtually any nursing, healthcare, or academic topic, including course content, NCLEX preparation, clinical reasoning, test-taking strategies, research projects, APA formatting, graduate-level coursework, psychiatric nursing, pediatrics, or professional development.

A typical session might include:

• Breaking down difficult concepts into simpler language
• Whiteboard teaching and visual diagrams
• Practice questions with detailed rationales
• NCLEX-style test-taking strategies
• Case study discussions and clinical reasoning exercises
