About James
I started out giving lessons to years 7-11 pupils in the music department of Edgbarrow School when I was 17 years old and was studying at college. I taught around 3 students over 2 years who wanted to learn guitar and were complete beginners. These students went on to perform solo pieces in their school assemblies.
I also am currently teaching my 9 year old step daughter guitar and she is constantly playing Wild Thing after I showed her the chords and strumming techniques.

I'm a friendly, empathetic and skilled guitar tutor with 15 years of experience playing. I believe that the most important thing is making the student feel comfortable and encouraged in every way, allowing them to go in the direction they want to go and achieve their own unique, individual goal.
