About Nia
I have a Bachelors Degree from Smith College in American Studies and a PhD from Stanford University in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies. I have been the recipient of a number of awards and fellowships for my achievements (i.e. Mellon Dissertation Fellowship, Jerome Fellowship, and Creative Capital). I have held tenure-track professorships at Florida State University and Arizona State University, and been a guest professor at BerkleeNYC, Fordham University, University of Massachusetts, Williams College, and many more!

I am easy-going, kind, compassionate, and fun a a teacher to learn with. I am also a multidisciplinary artist, so I have a naturally creative approach to teaching and learning. I genuinely want you to succeed in whatever you do, and I have an infectious love of learning about all things that I hope I can share with you! I want you to get something out of our time together, so whether you are looking for support for your children or you are a college or graduate student, I've done it all. I can help with any general English tutoring, but also can zero in on vocabulary, spelling, or literature, whether that's comprehension or analysis. I have the most experience with high school, college, and graduate level education, but have also worked with younger :)
