About Emma

I am a first-year BA Musical Theatre student at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London. Originally from Australia, I have a great passion from the arts and wanted to pursue my training overseas and successfully auditioned for UK and US schools, including the world-renowned NYU Tisch Drama. I graduated from The McDonald Performing Arts College in Sydney as school captain and the recipient of the Musical Theatre Excellence Award. Before moving to London, I wrote + performed my own cabaret show and produced a workshop for students wanting to attend drama school in Australia and internationally. I grew up surrounded by music and performing arts, but it wasn't until 2019 when I decided to begin training. I have experienced ample growth since then, but also understand the importance of having a supportive, nurturing teacher whilst in the developing stage - a teacher that loves what they do, and doesn't push students to be the next 'star' or any better than anyone else, instead, is fuelled by passion for music and simply wants to pass this onto new students who may share a passion as well. I have experienced the impact of incredible teachers since attending The McDonald College, and am inspired by them to teach myself. I am hardworking, flexible, kind, and honest. I wish to work with students to help them discover a passion for the performing arts just as my teachers did for me.

About the lesson

With over two years of teaching experience, plus acceptances to internationally-recognised institutions, I offer individualised sessions for young performers wanting to further their training: - SINGING LESSONS - DRAMA SCHOOL AUDITION PREP + ORGANISATION Lessons range from 30-minutes to 1 hour. I have experience in teaching younger students age 8-17 in both singing and dancing, working on production teams with Jopuka Productions and teaching with Ultra Dance Academy and Star Time studios in Australia. I believe in nurturing passion for Performing Arts, and supporting students to reach their full potential without the stress of being 'the best' or a 'star'. Each class begins with a warmup that focuses on both a healthy start to singing and then technique to develop student's voices. This will be a minimum of 10 minutes but can differ depending on student's needs. I would love students to choose songs they would like to work on as well, rather than me forcing them to learn a song. I also focus on audition preparation and etiquette for drama school auditions. I have ample experience in auditions for professional productions and drama schools, with acceptances to world-renowned institutions. I have previously produced my own drama school audition workshop in Sydney, Australia, which was highly successful
