About Nyla

As a singer with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance and 4 years of teaching experience, I believe everyone can sing with confidence and heart. My lessons are warm, easygoing, and centered on creating a supportive environment where your voice can grow naturally. I focus on healthy breathwork, posture, vocal relaxation, and tone control, guiding you step by step through each element. Whether you sing for a community choir, karaoke night, or personal joy, I tailor lessons to your goals. I love working across Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles, helping each student find their authentic sound. Singing, to me, is a form of mindfulness and joy—a way to connect with yourself and others. Together, we’ll turn your curiosity into confidence. About the lesson

My teaching emphasizes bringing songs to life through emotional authenticity. I focus on lyric interpretation, storytelling, and conveying meaning to listeners. Students learn how to phrase melodies expressively, use dynamics effectively, and highlight narrative moments. I guide learners to feel the music as they perform, connecting technique with emotion. The Fiddler develops phrasing that complements instrumental sensitivity. The Music Major explores expressive articulation and audience engagement. Lessons balance structured technical work with creative freedom. I provide detailed feedback to help students grow confidently. Singing becomes a tool for powerful communication, not just musical skill. You’ll learn to inhabit every note and phrase. My goal is to help students convey emotion naturally and powerfully. Each session encourages expressive growth, musical awareness, and performance confidence. Together, we’ll create performances that move audiences.
