About Jonathan Rensvik
I have been playing drums since I was 10 years old and have gone to 3 different teachers. I have my main background in experimental rock, metal and some Hip-Hop. I got the highest grade at my recital in VGS.
I have learned musictheory at Heimdal VGS, and have learned a lot about theory through the web. I think it's really fun to discuss theory. I have worked with theory for about 4-5 years.
Im currently in my first year of Music Technology at NTNU and have doing musicproduction for about 2 years.

I use a lot of engagement in teaching. I like to first understand where the student is in terms of competence and also find out what is wise to work on based on this. I put a lot of focus on that you should be happy with what you manage to achieve to get a feeling of mastery and that the teaching should be fun and feasible. This often helps a lot in motivation.
I have a good experience of helping fellow students, fellow students and am myself a mentor to date. Those I have helped have been happy with the lessons. Hope we talk sometime :)
