About Rowan

I'm Studying Maths at Durham University and am passionate about my subject. I enjoy working with students as they build confidence in Maths. The best moments are when a difficult idea finally makes sense for my student.

I achieved A*A*A*A at A-level with A*s in Maths and Further Maths, got the top grade for FSMQ and scored 6.9 in TMUA.

About the lesson

I'm offering 1-2 hour lessons for years 11-13 with an option for homework in GCSE/A-level Maths and Further Maths. In addition I offer tutoring for TMUA and FSMQ.

I have experience working with students with a range of levels of confidence in the subject. I want to put students in the best position to achieve their goals in Maths and often find working through sample questions is most effective. However, sometimes slowly reviewing topics they find difficult to understand can be more helpful.

I had a great time working with Sarah and her son who is preparing for TMUA. Her son was friendly and motivated, putting effort into understanding how to approach the difficult questions that TMUA presents students with. Sarah has been easy to communicate with about lessons and replies quickly.
