About Crosby
With 15 years of teaching and professional music experience, I am a committed Piano tutor who enjoys guiding students through every stage of learning. I teach piano to school and college students and focus on making lessons enjoyable, clear, and motivating.
A major milestone in my career was developing lesson plans that allow students to learn at their own pace without pressure. This approach has helped many learners stay consistent, motivated, and confident in their abilities.
My lessons include posture, finger exercises, hand coordination, rhythm, music reading, and musical expression. I also teach basic music theory to help students develop a deeper understanding of the music and improve independently.
I believe piano education fosters patience, creativity, focus, and self-confidence. Music provides students with a way to express themselves and develop discipline, emotional balance, and resilience.
My teaching style is friendly, organised, and supportive. I guide students step by step, celebrate progress, and inspire them to continue growing as confident and skilled musicians.

My piano teaching approach is comprehensive, mentorship-focused, and student-centred, designed to help students develop technical skill, creativity, and expressive performance. I emphasise communication, ensuring that students understand musical concepts, hand techniques, rhythm, and theory, and can apply them effectively in practice and performance. Lessons are personalised to suit each student’s learning style, making the learning experience interactive, engaging, and effective.
I incorporate real-life examples and case studies, such as performing favourite songs, exploring classical compositions, and demonstrating music’s application in films and everyday life. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, ear training, improvisation, composition, and performance preparation, providing students with a well-rounded musical education. My methodology fosters creativity, technical mastery, performance confidence, and a lifelong love for music, helping students grow into skilled, expressive, and confident pianists.
