About Amanda
I love to encourage my students that they can do hard things and they are loved. I always remember Maslow before Bloom. Always take care of their health and well-being before they learn. For example, if a kid is hungry or thirsty that is all they will think about and won't be ready for learning. We will have fun learning about new concepts and growing in the knowledge of whatever concepts and lessons we talk about.

I teach according to a method of the mastery teaching model, which is 1 do, we do, you do. I model it for the student a few times and then have them do it with me and then have them do the activity on their own. I always like to model the activity or concept then have them work on it. I break down the concepts for them to understand and learn. Scaffolding is something I always use.
