About Manav

Welcome! My name is Manav Patel, and I am excited to share my passion for learning and teaching with you. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Las Positas College. Throughout my academic journey, I have immersed myself in various relevant coursework, including Intermediate Microeconomics, Economic History of the US, Environmental Economics and Policy, and International Relations Theory.

My professional background is diverse and rich in experience. As a Research Assistant at the Animal Data Project, I conducted comprehensive literature reviews and synthesized complex research findings into clear and concise summaries. As a Legislative Assistant for Greg Tanaka for the City Council, my role allowed me to analyze policies, communicate effectively with constituents, and manage social media platforms to keep the community informed.

In addition, my experience as a Business Development Intern at Your Money Vehicle involved creating adaptable PowerPoints for educational purposes and ensuring course content accessibility through closed captioning software. I have also served as the Volunteer Engagement Director at Brand New Congress, where I recruited and supported volunteers, ensuring they were well-equipped to contribute to various campaigns.

My skills extend beyond my professional roles. I am proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, HubSpot, project management, public policy, statistical analysis (STATA), SQL, and BigQuery. Furthermore, I am fluent in English and proficient in Gujarati, with intermediate knowledge of Hindi.
