About Rishi
Back when I was in primary school, in Year 3 and Year 4 (P4 and P5), I would do my Maths lessons two years up with Year 5 and Year 6 (P6 and P7). Consequently, from when I was 9 to 11, I spent my time in Maths teaching my friends, and I think this was when a love of teaching was sparked! It's such a privilege to be able to guide someone along the path of understanding and knowledge, and I'd be glad to do that again.

I believe that the best manner of teaching is that which is intellectually challenging but emotionally supportive. I believe in the innate potential of every child and strive to work with them so that they can unlock it. My pupils know it's okay to get something wrong, as long as they tried. The standard length of a lesson is one hour, but depending on the quantity of content that needs to be covered, that may increase. To be clear, lessons would only be extended if deemed academically necessary - not for personal financial motivation. I worked for an initiative in London (where I'm from), providing academic enrichment sessions to able primary school children in Maths, English, Philosophy and Science. I have done additional volunteering teaching primary school children, and I mentored Key Stage 3 pupils in secondary school.
