About Demi
My interest in economics grew from a desire to understand how decisions shape societies and individual outcomes. I pursued an M.A. in Applied Economics, where I developed strong analytical, research, and data interpretation skills. Over the past 10 years, I have taught students from diverse academic backgrounds, helping them develop clarity and confidence in economic reasoning.
I believe effective economics teaching balances structure with discussion. I focus on explaining concepts patiently while encouraging independent thinking and debate. My teaching style adapts to each learner’s pace, ensuring they feel supported rather than overwhelmed when approaching complex material.
Outside teaching, I stay engaged with economic research, policy analysis, and global market developments. Teaching economics is rewarding because I see students grow more thoughtful, analytical, and confident. Helping learners understand the forces shaping the world around them is a meaningful part of my work.

Economics lessons focus on helping students understand how individual choices, markets, and governments interact in real life. I guide learners through core topics such as supply and demand, elasticity, consumer behaviour, production, and market structures using practical examples and clear reasoning. Each lesson emphasises connecting theory to everyday economic situations so students can see relevance beyond textbooks. Concepts are introduced gradually, allowing learners to build confidence while developing strong analytical habits.
As students progress, lessons explore macroeconomic themes such as inflation, unemployment, fiscal policy, monetary systems, and international trade. Learners practise interpreting graphs, analysing data, and evaluating economic arguments. I encourage students to question assumptions, compare viewpoints, and explain reasoning clearly. Structured exercises and discussion-based learning help reinforce understanding and strengthen exam and application skills.
Economics lessons also develop critical thinking and decision-making abilities. Students gain confidence in evaluating real-world issues such as public policy, business strategy, and global economic trends. My goal is to help learners feel comfortable analysing complex economic situations and expressing informed, logical opinions with clarity and confidence.
