About Aurel
I have experience teaching both IGCSE and IB Economics students, helping them achieve significant grade improvements — including raising results from C+ to A*. My lessons are structured, exam-oriented, and aligned closely with Cambridge and IB marking schemes, which ensures students understand exactly what examiners look for.
Many of my students have found my approach especially helpful in mastering essay structure, data-response techniques, and evaluation — key areas where students in Singapore schools are often assessed rigorously. Several have been complimented by their school teachers for noticeable improvement in clarity of explanation and analytical depth.
Academically, I achieved an A* in IGCSE Economics and a 7 in IB Economics. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), which allows me to teach with strong conceptual depth while keeping explanations clear and accessible.
I focus not only on improving grades but also on building strong economic intuition, structured thinking, and exam confidence — ensuring students are fully prepared for internal assessments, prelims, and final examinations.

My teaching style is structured, student-friendly, and results-oriented. Lessons follow the official syllabus and marking scheme closely, but go beyond the textbook to ensure deep conceptual clarity. I focus on helping students truly understand the logic behind economic models rather than memorising content.
Students receive exclusive access to my personally curated notes, essay frameworks, evaluation templates, and real-world case examples. I integrate current economic events and practical applications so concepts become intuitive and easier to recall during exams.
The goal is not just short-term grade improvement, but long-term retention — learning in a way where concepts genuinely “stick,” allowing students to write confidently, think analytically, and score consistently.
