About Preeti
I've spoken English as my first language since childhood and did my schooling at St. Thomas' Girls' School, Kolkata. I went on to complete my Bachelor's degree from a Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology in India, followed by a Master's degree in Computer Science from George Washington University in the US. This lifelong immersion in English, academically and personally, has given me a strong, natural command over grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I'm passionate about helping students build the same confidence and fluency in English, whether for academics, everyday communication, or professional growth. I believe in a patient, structured, and encouraging teaching style, and you can count on me to be reliable, well-prepared, and genuinely invested in your progress. I recently moved back to India to be with and take care of my parents, and thought this would be a great opportunity to put my English skills to good use.

My approach focuses on building strong fundamentals in grammar, spelling, reading, and speaking through clear explanations and plenty of practice. I hold a Master's degree from a US university and am a fluent English speaker, which helps me explain concepts in a simple, relatable way. A typical lesson starts with reviewing previous concepts, followed by targeted practice on grammar rules, spelling patterns, or reading comprehension, and includes speaking exercises to build confidence and enforce correct pronunciation and usage. What sets me apart is my patience and ability to adapt lessons to each student's pace, with a strong emphasis on speaking good, correct English. I teach students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced learners.
