About Julie
Hi! I’m Julie, and I’m an Education graduate and experienced teacher who genuinely loves working with children and helping them discover what they can do.
I’ve worked with children and teenagers in school settings, including as a resource teacher, and I’ve learned that every child learns a little differently. I’m patient, encouraging, and I like to make learning feel relaxed rather than stressful.
Outside of teaching, I love cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, embroidery, and making things. I’m also a mom, so I know how valuable it is for children to learn practical skills and become more confident and independent.
I’m excited to share the things I enjoy with my students and create lessons where they can learn something useful, be creative, and have fun along the way!

My lessons are fun, practical, and hands-on. I believe children learn best when they are actively doing something rather than simply listening to a teacher. Depending on the lesson, we might cook a simple recipe, learn a baking skill, practice basic sewing or crafts, or work on everyday life skills such as organization and budgeting.
I have a degree in Education and experience working with children and teens, including as a resource teacher. I adapt my lessons to the learner's age, experience, and comfort level, and I create a relaxed environment where students can ask questions, try new things, and make mistakes without feeling embarrassed.
A typical lesson includes a short introduction and demonstration, followed by guided hands-on practice. I encourage students to become increasingly independent as they build confidence and learn useful skills they can take into their everyday lives.
My lessons are designed primarily for children and tweens, from beginners to students who simply want to learn something new and have fun while doing it.
