I offer the subject (for example, the American Revolution as a conservative movement among Englishmen fighting to regain their rights as Englishmen) and invite discussion. No questions are dumb, and no position is unassailable. I'm one of the last who truly believes we are supposed to be teaching students to think rather than simply regurgitate information on a test.
