Zé is one of the best guitar players I have ever met, and I’m lucky to have had him teach me some stuff.

He is a very kind and helpful teacher, his direct and honest communication is very helpful in holding the student accountable and making them do their best, while also learning in a comfortable and welcoming environment. He can teach at a very high level, but also explain simpler concepts with a great deal of patience.
His dedication to the guitar shows in his extensive knowledge of the instrument and the wide variety of styles and genres that he is comfortable in. Zé doesn’t rely on typical patterns but instead shows great curiosity in the students personal relation to the instrument and always taught me specifically to my own musical journey, which makes the experience of learning from him all the more personally rewarding.
He also draws from his extensive experience of working in the music industry to teach lessons beyond just playing guitar about managing and progressing your career, playing live with other musicians, recording professional audio and how to establish yourself in the world as a musician.
