About Ivy
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia who enjoys working with children and sharing my passions. An avid reader and writer, I am enthusiastic, easygoing, and patient, with strong planning and organizational skills.
Through my extensive experience in teaching piano, tutoring, and volunteering with children, I've learned to recognize and adapt my teaching to each student's individualized needs. I hope to be able to help them develop a love for learning through my lessons!

I tailor my lesson plans to the individual abilities and learning styles of each student. With over five years of experience in teaching and working with children of all ages, I can assess each student's needs and personalities and adapt my teaching style accordingly. I offer guidance in creative and essay writing, feedback of school projects, and assistance in university applications, specifically UBC personal profiles. I can also tutor international or non-native speakers in English speaking, reading, and writing. I hope to not only help my students improve their English competency, but also allow them to have fun in creative approaches to learning the language!
