My lessons are specifically designed for elementary school students (Grades 1 through 6 / Ages 6–12). Whether your child is struggling to master foundational reading, writing, and math concepts, or simply needs extra encouragement and structured guidance to keep up with schoolwork, I adapt each session to their specific grade level, learning speed, and school curriculum.
Teaching Method & Techniques
I use a high-energy, interactive approach tailored to young attention spans and learning styles:
Gamified Learning: We use educational games, flashcards, and interactive exercises to turn abstract concepts into fun, engaging challenges.
Scaffolded Steps: Complex topics are broken down into small, easily digestible steps, allowing students to build confidence with quick wins before moving on to harder tasks.
Multi-Sensory Approaches: Combining visual diagrams, verbal explanations, and hands-on activities ensures concepts stick naturally for both visual and auditory learners.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each 60-minute session is kept structured yet flexible to keep young learners focused and motivated:
Warm-Up & Catch-Up (10 mins): A fun, quick review game covering past topics or checking in on immediate homework questions.
Interactive Concept Introduction (15 mins): Introducing the new topic through colorful visual aids, short stories, or real-life examples that children can easily relate to.
Guided Practice (20 mins): Solving problems side-by-side using encouraging prompts to help them discover answers independently.
Independent Challenge (10 mins): A short activity or worksheet where the student works independently to demonstrate their new skill.
Recap & High Fives (5 mins): Celebrating the day’s achievements, setting simple goals for next time, and sharing feedback with parents.
