About Ivy
With 32+ years of teaching experience and over 14680 students successfully guided, I have devoted my career to helping learners experience the beauty and discipline of piano. My experience spans beginner instruction, advanced training, and performance coaching across diverse musical backgrounds.
Many former students have excelled in music examinations, recitals, competitions, and professional performances. Their accomplishments continue to inspire my passion for artistic development and quality music education.
I believe piano learning cultivates creativity, focus, and emotional expression while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music. My teaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, confidence, and meaningful learning experiences.

Piano is taught through a balanced approach that combines technical precision with expressive artistry. Lessons cover finger techniques, rhythm training, sight reading, ear development, improvisation, music theory, and repertoire building while adapting to different learning styles and musical goals. Each session is designed to develop confidence, creativity, and musical understanding.
Students engage in practical exercises, recital preparation, assignments, interpretation activities, and performance studies that strengthen coordination and artistic expression. Personalized instruction helps learners progress steadily while cultivating independent musicianship.
Advanced instruction explores advanced repertoire, harmony, composition, improvisation, and concert performance techniques. Learners develop refined musical abilities that support examinations, competitions, performances, and lifelong artistic growth.
