About Steven

I'm an active EMT and healthcare professional with an Associate Degree in Nursing and years of hands-on experience working in the healthcare environment. My experience has allowed me to see healthcare from multiple perspectives—from emergency medical care to working alongside nurses and caring for patients in a hospital setting.

As a tutor, I bring that real-world experience into every lesson. I understand that healthcare education can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re expected to remember a large amount of information and then apply it to real-life situations and exam questions.

My goal is to make learning practical, understandable, and confidence-building. I don’t believe in simply giving students answers. I want you to understand the reasoning behind the answer so you can approach the next question on your own.

Whether you’re an EMT student, nursing student, or preparing for the NCLEX, I will meet you where you are and help you build from there. I take professionalism, preparation, and patient safety seriously, and I bring that same mindset to tutoring.

Most importantly, I know what it feels like to be the student. I’m here to create a comfortable environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn without feeling judged.

My goal isn’t just to help you pass your next exam—it’s to help you become a more confident healthcare professional.

About the lesson

My approach is simple: I want you to understand the “why,” not just memorize the “what.”

I use real-world clinical experience, practical examples, question breakdowns, and test-taking strategies to help students connect what they are learning to situations they may actually encounter in healthcare.

For nursing and NCLEX students, I focus heavily on clinical judgment—how to recognize what matters, identify priorities, eliminate incorrect answers, and make safe decisions when a question feels unfamiliar.

For EMT students, I focus on understanding assessment, recognizing life threats, developing a systematic approach, and building confidence in applying knowledge under pressure.

Every lesson is personalized to the student. We identify what you struggle with, work through it together, and build strategies you can continue using independently.
