About Tobias

I am an experienced Guitar tutor with over 7 years of teaching college students. My goal is to make guitar learning simple, creative, and effective for every student.

My teaching style is friendly and adaptable. I understand that college students have busy schedules, so I plan lessons that are flexible, structured, and goal-oriented. I help students progress without pressure.

I use innovative teaching techniques such as song-based lessons, structured warm-ups, and technique-focused exercises. Students learn chords, strumming, fingerpicking, and rhythm while playing real music. I also use backing tracks to build confidence.

Music theory is taught in a clear and practical way so students can understand how it works on the guitar. I also encourage creative activities like improvisation and simple composition.

I create a supportive learning space where students feel comfortable asking questions. My aim is to help college students build strong guitar skills and enjoy their musical journey.

About the lesson

My Guitar teaching approach combines creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability. I believe learning music should be fun, meaningful, and empowering. Lessons encourage improvisation, songwriting, and exploring diverse musical genres to develop a unique style.

Critical thinking is central to my methodology. I guide students to understand chord progressions, scales, and rhythm patterns so they can analyse songs, improvise, and tackle musical challenges independently.

Accountability ensures consistent growth. I help students set goals, practise regularly, and reflect on progress. Feedback and encouragement keep students motivated and confident.

Alongside Guitar, I teach music theory, ear training, composition, and performance skills. Lessons are customised for each student’s pace, level, and interests, making learning engaging, productive, and enjoyable.

My goal is to mentor students into creative, confident musicians who can play, compose, and express themselves freely.
