About Caley-Maria

I found a love for Geography because it offers interdisciplinary global awareness that provides deep insights, even into every day life.

I believe Geography can be relatable to everyone, so my teaching style encourages curiosity, sophistication and critical thinking.

I am well practiced in both human and physical geography skills; data collection, field work, theory and exam preparation.

Having recently graduated from the London School of Economic and Political Science, I adopted great learning techniques and revision methods that gained me a 1st class degree so I am excited to share with students of all levels who need support.

About the lesson

Classes will feature bespoke materials and structures for students, according to their specific needs, which will be evaluated in the first lesson in order to make an effective game plan.

I will break down and explain all topics in a straightforward, accessible way. Complex concepts can be hard to grasp in a classroom, so I focus on really listening to what students are struggling with, in order to provide them with the most relevant guidance.

I teach easy, formulaic writing style and structure required for top marks across KS2-5 in both short and long answers to ensure students are confident under exam pressure.

My teaching style prioritises personal engagement from the student so they can learn actively not passively, and I will facilitate the growth of their independent critical thinking so they can reach top marks. Discussion and debate are a key aspect of forming this confidence, as well as fun and interactive activities to cement understanding.

I have known Caley for what will soon be four years as her A Level English teacher. I can recommend her wholeheartedly as a highly gifted student of English. In class we have learnt much from her via her perceptive, original, profound readings of Literature and her sensitive ability to analyse Language. I have no doubt that with her engaging manner and inquiring passion for the subject, Caley will continue to captivate students as a teacher on Superprof. She has a very direct, clear and emphatic way of speaking about and writing about Literature and the English Language. Her lessons are bound to be both enjoyable and full of insight.
