About Sahaana

I have always enjoyed studying Geography, particularly exploring how it helps us understand the world around us and the issues that shape it. I currently study Geography, Maths, and Economics A level, and am predicted 3 A*s. I achieved grade 9 in Geography GCSE and am planning on taking a degree in Geography at university. Through tutoring and mentoring younger students at school, as well as writing geographical articles and essays, I have developed a deeper appreciation for the subject and the importance of communicating ideas clearly. Outside the classroom, I teach tennis and work with young children at Sunday school, experiences that have strengthened my patience, adaptability and ability to work with different learning styles. These experiences have shown me how rewarding it is to help others learn, grow and develop confidence in their abilities. I want to tutor Geography because I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for the subject and helping students realise their potential, not only by improving their academic performance but also by encouraging them to think independently and develop a lasting interest in the world around them.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to make Geography engaging, accessible and tailored to each student's individual needs. I aim to help students develop a genuine understanding of geographical concepts rather than simply memorising facts, breaking down challenging topics into clear explanations and using examples to bring the subject to life. I also focus on developing exam technique, helping students structure their answers effectively and apply their knowledge with confidence. Whether a student needs support with difficult topics or wants to push themselves towards higher grades, I strive to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building on their understanding. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident and better equipped to achieve their academic potential.
