About Kohil
With 8 years of experience teaching piano, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, ranging from beginners to advanced learners and from school children to professionals. My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, encouragement, and a creative approach to learning, allowing students to grow at their own pace while developing technical skills and musical understanding.
I have successfully guided students in recitals, music competitions, and graded exams, helping them achieve milestones and gain confidence in their abilities. My lessons cover technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and performance skills, with a strong focus on creativity and personal expression. I strive to make each lesson engaging, inspiring, and meaningful, encouraging students to discover their unique musical voice.

My teaching philosophy focuses on compassion, communication, and encouragement. I believe that every student can succeed when they feel supported and understood. In piano lessons, I balance technical training with creative exercises, helping students develop skill, expression, and confidence.
I encourage questions and open dialogue, ensuring that learning is interactive and enjoyable. Supportiveness is key—I celebrate achievements and patiently guide students through challenges.
This approach also applies to other subjects I teach, including music theory and composition, making learning accessible and fun. My goal is to nurture both talent and a lifelong love for learning.
