About Nick
My aims as a tutor are simple: (1) to help you unlock effective learning styles and your unique strengths; (2) to help develop your foundation in maths and science; and, (3) to show you the incredible ways in which scientific concepts are applied in the real world. I know how difficult learning these subjects can be, especially when your brain is wired differently than others'. At the GCSE level, I struggled a lot in some areas, such as reading comprehension and abstract thinking; now, I hold a first-class degree in engineering (BASc, Geological Engineering, Queen's University, Canada) and am working on a PhD at the University of Cambridge (Earth Sciences). I discovered learning styles that worked for me, and so can you! You will find me to be a good listener, patient, enthusiastic and dedicated.

I am passionate about creating personalized learning pathways for neurodivergent students, ensuring lessons are tailored to their unique needs and strengths. As someone with ADHD, I understand the challenges of traditional learning methods. My lessons, which can be up to one hour long, are carefully planned to match each student's learning style, incorporating strategies like visual aids. With experience teaching at GCSE, A-level, and university levels, I am committed to helping students succeed across all stages of their academic journey.
