About Mike

Hi I'm Mike,

I'm a Mechatronic's engineer and maths tutor working with GCSE students and those doing A-level engineering maths. I live with my wife, our giant breed dog and two small children. I work primarily from home designing prototypes, robots and electronic components, with a focus on the toy-making industry and the design of bespoke toys.

For a long time, I've had a passion for a long time I've had a passion to share my knowledge of how to overcome the difficulties of learning maths and its applications in the real world through simple explanations and basic tasks. In a world that's over-complicated for so many, I hope to make things just that little bit more simple and easily explained.

About the lesson

I help those with learning difficulties such as dyscalculia autism and anxiety to overcome difficulties and fears around the subject and teach simple basic maths exercises and examples to overcome that difficulties.

I cater to each learning experience to the student to meet their needs and overcome any difficulties they are having, lessons work by taking advantage of learning basic methods and space repetition to understand how to solve the problem rather than simply answering questions.

I endeavour never to make students feel overwhelmed or as if they have been put on the spot to answer a question. It is about the method and learning what works for them to solve their problems, not simply achieving immediate answers.

I look forward to working with you and helping you become the maths quiz you've always wanted to be.
