About Srilekha

Hello! I’m a friendly tutor with a background in Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Data Science at the University of Hertfordshire. I specialise in teaching Maths, Science, English, and Computer Science to students from Year 3 to GCSE level. I’ve always enjoyed working with children and helping them build confidence in their learning. My teaching journey began by volunteering at schools in India, and I’ve continued supporting young learners here in the UK. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their pace, style, and needs. To keep things fun and engaging, I use interactive digital tools, quizzes, and real-world examples that make lessons enjoyable and easy to follow. Whether you are catching up, preparing for exams, or want to get ahead, I create a positive, supportive environment where you can thrive. Let’s learn together — one step at a time!

About the lesson

I believe in a personalised and student-centred teaching approach, where lessons are tailored to each learner’s pace, level, and preferred learning style. I focus on building strong foundational understanding, boosting confidence, and encouraging independent thinking. I use a mix of: 1. Interactive teaching techniques, such as real-life examples, visual aids, and practice problems. 2. Step-by-step explanations to break down complex topics. 3. Regular quizzes, revision checks, and feedback to track progress. Lesson Length: 45-60 mins (can be adjusted based on student need) Qualifications & Experience: 1. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Science at the University of Hertfordshire. 2. I have volunteer experience teaching Maths, Science, English, and Computer Science to primary and secondary public school students, including GCSE level. 3. Volunteered as a tutor, including mentoring students and helping with homework and exam prep. Who My Lessons Are For: 1. KS2 to GCSE students preparing for exams or needing extra support. 2. Students who want to improve their grades, build confidence, or learn at their own pace in a relaxed and supportive environment.
