About Monik
I am a chemical engineer, 24, by profession and I started teaching students in an academy while pursuing my undergraduate degree.
I love teaching and I am always exploring better and more robust ways to explain concepts and help students develop a problem solving ability even if they are not the biggest fans of mathematics.
I don't mind students telling me if they hate math and find it difficult to understand. My role is to make sure that they conquer their fears and difficulties in the subject without being an advocate for the importance of mathematics. My teaching style is very informal and yet I stay real and honest with a student on their progress and way forward.

Teaching 10th grade (SSE, IGCSE, ICSE, CBSE) mathematics is my strength and since I have had many difficulties in learning while growing up, I am able to empathize with the students and understand their problems much better.
As a teacher, I don't believe in having a fixed technique or method to introduce and teach a concept. Each individual has a different ability and style to grasp concepts and apply that knowledge. A student has that privilege as far as personal tutoring is concerned. My job as a teacher is to identify ways in which the student can learn concretely and effectively.
I make sure the theory and practice must go hand in hand and that is how the structure of the class is designed. This way the student is not bored and ends up retaining most of what was learnt and practiced.
When someone has to learn something for the sake of education, it is important to at least understand 'why' that concept or chapter needs to be learnt. Whether it is just for the sake of examination or if there are real life applications associated with it, that should be made clear. This way, a learner understands the significance of what is being taught and grasps it accordingly in the right spirit and with the right perspective.
