About Dorian
With a history in tutoring and mentorship dating back throughout high school and college, I am a University graduate in Mechanical Engineering. Even though maths and science dominate my profession, English language and literature have always had my heart.
My early teaching experience constitutes over a year spent as a special education needs (SEN) mentor in high school, where I mentored/tutored middle schoolers in subjects such as English, Math, History who had learning disabilities ranging from dyslexia, hyperactivity disorders or even colour blindness amongst many others.
Outside of high school & university, I further exercised my passions for mentoring/tutoring and the broadening of my oratory skills by:
- Acting as Student Representative Council (SRC) President
- Acting as Toastmaster Club President
- Being an awarded delegate of my local Model United Nations club as well as serving as a Chairperson for one year
Hence, with over five years of tutorship and mentorship experience, enthusiasm to teach coupled with professionalism in action are at the forefront of my tutoring and all future students can always expect a fun and engaging experience when working to learn the basics of the English language with myself.

With the aim of making learning English fun for children between elementary and middle school level, I utilize virtual learning tools for higher engagement and interaction such as;
- Blackboard Learn
- Zoom
The goal of my teaching is to help put English grammar in clear terms to help students build their proficiency (focus on spelling, vocabulary, and pronunciation) and overcome language barriers in order to set them up to pursue future educational & professional opportunities.
Students can expect tailor made and need specific course materials incorporating new but effective teaching methods & strategies.
Testing material includes;
- Homework based of daily delivered learning material
- Written and oral assignments
