About Dev

My name is Dev and I am a current Engineering student at Curtin University with a strong passion for math and helping others succeed. I have always been someone who enjoys breaking down complex problems into simple, easy-to-follow steps, and I get a lot of satisfaction out of seeing someone finally understand something they have been struggling with. Alongside my studies, I work as a Sales Engineer, which has sharpened my ability to communicate clearly and explain technical information in a way that is easy to understand, a skill I bring directly into my tutoring. I am patient, approachable, and committed to making sure every student feels comfortable asking questions without any judgment. Whether you are trying to keep up with your class or push for a higher grade, I am here to help you get there at your own pace.

About the lesson

I focus on making sure my students actually understand the material rather than just memorising formulas and hoping for the best. I break concepts down into simple steps and work through problems together with my students so they can see the logic behind each answer. Every student learns differently, so I adjust my approach depending on what works best for them, whether that is going back to basics or pushing ahead to more challenging problems. My lessons are typically one hour long and are aimed at primary and high school students up to Year 12 level. As a current Engineering student at Curtin University, I have a strong foundation in maths and use that knowledge to help students build their confidence and improve their grades. I am patient, easy to talk to, and genuinely enjoy helping people have those moments where something finally clicks. I am also able to provide customised recordings of lessons if students are unable to be present for the tuition times for a discounted rate.
