About Lexi

I'm currently a sophomore studying Civil Engineering at the University of Washington in Seattle. In high school, I balanced academics with leadership roles—serving as captain of multiple varsity sports teams, lead manager of a 200-member orchestra, and an active tutor and participant in several clubs and programs. Math has always been one of my strongest subjects—concepts in geometry, algebra, and calculus came naturally to me, even when other STEM topics didn’t click as easily. I understand that not everyone feels the same way about math, and that’s exactly why I tutor: to help students who excel in other areas build confidence and skill in math, too.

About the lesson

My approach is all about making things click. I use visuals and real-world examples to explain concepts in a way that actually makes sense. A typical session starts with reviewing a topic, answering your questions, and practicing similar problems together—until you're the one teaching me. I work with high school and calculus students, and what sets me apart is my calm, personable style. I help you slow down, build confidence, and realize that you can learn anything.

I also offer college application support. Having been through the process what feels like yesterday, I know how overwhelming it can be. I’m here to simplify it, share the tips and strategies that worked for me, and help you find the school that fits you—not just the one everyone thinks you should go to. My goal is to help you recognize your own strengths so you’re not just surviving school—you’re actually getting good at it.
