About James
Hi! I am an 18 year old student who has just finished Sixth Form/Year 13 and I have a passion for Maths and Physics. I have achieved an A* in Maths, an A* in Physics and an A in Further Maths at A Level. Right now, I'm looking forward to joining Imperial College London in October 2020 to begin my study of the Biomedical Engineering MEng course, where I'm going to be applying all the Maths and Physics skills I have developed over the years. I'm hoping that I can help the next set of students to smash their Maths and Physics exams!

Above everything, I want the student to have a good, friendly and engaging experience learning Maths. Having just finished Year 13, I hope I'm able to more easily understand and communicate with my students as I believe this is key to facilitate learning. I'd like to be able to show my students how to systematically approach maths problems step by step, so that they can tackle the wide range of questions in their GCSE. This is opposed to trying hard to remember how to do a question without understanding why the method works. During our first lesson, I'd like to talk to the student to see how they are currently working and identifying the key problem areas that we need to work on. After that we'll set out goals that will stretch the student whilst staying attainable. I will ensure that I use examples to explain and demonstrate key concepts in a digestible way. The student should also always feel free to stop me at any point to ask questions or go over something that hasn't clicked in. I hope that I can provide a great learning experience! P.S Lesson will be online, with a combination of Skype and an online whiteboard
