About Safwaan
Attending tuition for many years allowed me to experience different kinds of teaching and what works well with different ability
students. Initially, I started off tutoring younger family members free of charge to gain a better understanding of pupil management as well as dissimilar techniques used to engage students. I was able to branch out my skills into the local area where friends and family who knew of me were able to utilise my services to teach - at a nominal fee due to my young age and lack of experience. I have since developed my skills and abilities and as a result I am capable of teaching KS4, KS3 and KS2 students.
Under the guidance of the 'Team Up' tutoring company, I was able to tutor a group of year 8 maths student in a 12-month course. In small groups I was capable of providing a one-to-one tutoring service for the students ensuring the content best reflects the needs, aims, and interests of the individuals. The students that I tutored saw a significant improvement in test scores/grades which was subsequently recognised by Rokeby School. Subsequently, I was nominated by the programme manager to tutor a similar crash course in the following term with a different set of pupils from 'Sarah Bonnell school'.
As of 2020, I would have been tutoring for 5 years, with each year allowing me to gain an invaluable experience in this tutoring profession.

My teaching methodology ensures students completely understand what is going on by manipulating the lesson to their ability/standards. I am able to insight the importance of the subject to any pupil by relating the mathematical concepts to real-life scenarios. I like to use some time during the lesson for homework help and use innovative ways to assess the students understanding.
