As a tutor, I like to keep things fun and easy to understand while focusing on what each student needs most. My teaching is all about breaking things down into manageable steps, keeping it creative, and making sure students feel comfortable asking questions. I enjoy connecting lessons to real-world examples to make them more relatable and less intimidating.
How I Teach:
I mix clear explanations with hands-on activities and creative exercises to make learning interactive. For creative writing, I love using prompts and brainstorming ideas together. For grammar, essay writing, and proofreading, I guide students step-by-step, showing them how to spot mistakes and improve their work.
What a Typical Lesson Looks Like:
- Getting Started (5-10 minutes): We might start with a quick chat about a favorite story or warm-up with a short writing prompt.
- Main Lesson (30-40 minutes): We’ll focus on one goal—like understanding grammar, writing essays, or building creative ideas. I keep it interactive so students can practice as we go.
- Practice Time (10-15 minutes): Whether it’s revising sentences or outlining an essay, this is where students get to apply what they’ve learned.
- Wrap-Up (5-10 minutes): We’ll review, answer questions, and I’ll share tips for improvement.
