About Katie
Hi, my name is Katie. My dream has always been to teach others! I love reading, and I love learning about natural disasters and several instances of Geography. My hope is only to spread that inspiration and joy to you!
I have completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in both subjects, English and Geography, and I am currently back studying in Maynooth University to attain my Masters in teaching officially! :)
I have been doing placement in schools as part of doing my Masters, so I have some experience in teaching in classrooms. I have given grinds to family members one on one as well, so I have experience in that regard too.

My approach to tutoring will be one that is welcoming, and understanding of each and every student as an individual. I will help them with whatever topic/subject they are struggling with, with care taken to ensure they have an adequate understanding of that topic going forward.
My classes will be catered directly to each student. A portion of the first lesson will involve getting to know the student; asking them what they are struggling with, why they think they need some extra lessons, and what they would like to get out of it. We will set goals together, and achieve them together so that you can go into exams, etc. feeling confident.

This first lesson offered with Katie will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.

Details
The first session will be free; this will be to ensure the student is happy with the start-up session, and are happy with how it goes. Following that, it will be 20 for each in person session, or 15 for each online session. The in person is 20 in order to cover the cost of my travelling to you. My travel radius is approximately 20-25km from Mullingar.
