You don't need to study before each lesson. Every lesson involves 3 steps: warming up, a topic/grammar point, and a class closure. Knowing your course goals is crucial to focus on your needs: writing, speaking or both skills. I mostly teach young adults who are eager to get into the English-speaking workforce.
