About Deb

I have a Bachelor's Degree in English Language Learner Studies, as well as a CELTA Certificate. Before this training, I was educated in a Secondary Education Degree program, with a special focus in English and French. I've worked with a non-profit refugee and asylee resettlement organization teaching children and adults in various in-person and online settings. I have experience teaching in a Family Literacy Class and a Refugee Youth Summer Camp, preparing students for their real-world experiences and getting acclimated to their new communities.

I have lived my entire life in the United States and am a Native English speaker. In my previous career, I was a professional violin, fiddle, and hardingfele performer and teacher. I have excellent people skills and love to form meaningful relationships with every person I meet! I love the cultures of the world and have a good understanding of the musical traditions worldwide. I also enjoy learning new languages. I can speak French and have begun to learn other languages too. What can you teach me about your culture? I'm excited to find out!

About the lesson

She also has experience teaching in person to individuals and groups of all age groups. Her CELTA certificate and BAELL Degree have given her the advantage over others to provide you with the most up-to-date and research-based approach to acquiring your new language. You'll have lessons filled with rich and engaging content to build your skills and make you succeed in learning English.
