Author of three books -- cultural history of Greece, on the texts in Columbia's Literature and Humanities course, and Observations of an Accidental Farmer. Most recently I have taught classes on Dante, Hurston, and others at a private school, which I headed. Most of my teaching experience has been at the college level, with courses on Western classics, Renaissance, and American literature.
