About Megan
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Arts in English Communication Studies. Over the past 11 years, I have worked with learners seeking to improve academic writing, critical reading, public speaking, and advanced communication skills. My passion for language began through reading and discussion, eventually leading me toward a career in education. Helping students discover the power of effective communication remains one of my greatest professional motivations.
My teaching philosophy centers on engagement and understanding. I believe students learn best when they are encouraged to think independently and participate actively. Rather than focusing only on rules, I help learners explore how language shapes ideas and influences communication. Lessons are structured yet flexible, allowing students to develop skills while pursuing personal interests. This balance helps create meaningful and lasting learning experiences.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading essays, exploring communication research, and participating in literary discussions. These interests provide fresh perspectives that enrich my teaching. Watching students become stronger thinkers and communicators is deeply rewarding. I strive to create a learning environment where every student feels supported and challenged. Together, we work toward developing confidence, clarity, and a lifelong appreciation for language.

My English lessons are designed to help students become thoughtful and confident communicators. I focus on developing reading comprehension, vocabulary growth, grammar accuracy, structured writing, and effective speaking skills through engaging and practical activities. Lessons often include discussions based on articles, stories, ethical questions, and real-world topics that encourage learners to think deeply while improving language ability. Students are guided to understand not only what language means but also how it can be used to express ideas clearly and persuasively. This creates a learning environment that is both challenging and supportive.
Every lesson is adapted to individual goals and interests. Learners strengthen their analytical reading skills through close examination of texts, while writing activities help them organize thoughts with greater clarity. Debate exercises, opinion discussions, and critical thinking tasks encourage learners to build logical arguments and communicate confidently. Grammar and vocabulary are integrated naturally into these activities so students can apply new knowledge immediately. Regular feedback helps learners recognize progress and refine their skills.
My goal is to help students use English as a tool for communication, creativity, and intellectual growth. As learners become more comfortable expressing complex ideas, they gain greater confidence in academic and personal settings. Lessons encourage curiosity, independent thinking, and effective communication. Every achievement contributes to stronger language skills and deeper understanding. I want students to leave each lesson feeling capable, motivated, and prepared for future challenges.
