About Shanta
My passion for developing students to be the best version of themselves is what drives me to want to continue teaching. I have taught first language English in South Africa and ESL in the UAE. For me it is the need to understand my student before Iexpect my student to understand me. I believe in a relationship of mutual respect and for both my student and I to work towards the common goal of success for the student, resulting in satisfaction for me. I have over 30 years experience in the field of education across a variety of subjects and my methods of delivering lessons have evolved as I became a digital immigrant who enjoys the 21st century methods of student centred lessons and working towards outcomes. I am not only academically qualified but professionally too.

My lessons ooze with enthusiasm to empower my students with the confidence to learn, and to apply their learning with ease. Im student centred and prior to lessons, I provide the student with an outline of what the objectives of the lesson are. In this way we dont waste time and the on line session is more constructive. I have a very clear accent and a voice the compliments that.
