About Ty
I have been teaching for 30 years and I love it. Language is such an important part of our lives. We use it everyday to get something we want or need. I teach at a local college and the areas that I teach are English, Humanities, Business Communications, and Resume building. I am also an educational advocate with Utah Education initiative where I help individuals learn about education and what is available to them financially and acedemically as well as help them set personal goals for their own education.

"How to I know what I think until is see what I say" E.M. Forster
Knowledge truly is power, especially when is comes to, how we use English to get things done. It is paramount that we understanding how language is a form of currency that we use it to navigate our own world to get what we want and that is my focus.
Typical lesson plans focus on examples from real life situations and then analyzing and practicing. Writing is a skill that needs to be practiced in order to get better. I provide feedback and analysis and opportunities to practice. In order to be a great writer we need to write. My focus is small writing assignments with feedback for better results.
