About Jake
I am passionate about reading and have been studying English my entire life. Whilst it has always been my favourite subject and area of study, I understand that not everyone feels the same - that is absolutely fine! What I want is for you to be confident in attaining whatever goal you aspire to.
I completed a BA in English Literature and Language at King's College London, before going on to become a Barrister (lawyer). I have also recently entered the Publishing industry.
Having studied English at all levels of education, and having studied Law and been called to the Bar, I am very experienced in exam preparation and techniques, as well as long-form writing, such as coursework or theses.
Perhaps more importantly, though, I promise all my students patience, dedication and support in reaching your goal.

All of my lessons will be specifically tailored to each individual student. From basic language skills (spelling, learning to read, etc.) all the way up to focussed literary analysis, I understand that each student learns differently. I will work in whatever way suits you!
A typical lesson will be 45-60 minutes, though I am open to discussion.
I offer lessons to anyone, at any age or qualification level. Whether you are working towards a specific exam, completing a piece of written work, or you simply want to learn more about the wonderful world of English, I am here to help!
