Hello, my name is Andrea I am a former student and coworker of Jan Kelley Roberts. Jan is an incredible teacher she helped me and continue helping me improve my English skills through the years. I met her in 2012 in a community college. Since the beginning she has pushed me to always improve my skills, and I have nothing to say, but good things about her. I wish I can do this review as long as infinity, so I can put all the adjectives she deserves! One thing I can say that she is an excellent teacher and person amazing as teacher and a really good coworker. I have learned so much from her those skills lead me to get a job in the same campus I was taking clases with her, and I’m not lying if I say that here is not other teacher as patient an intelligent like her Her dedication, self improvement and empathy toward students makes her the best teacher in the area and she will always look out to help students understand even if she has to dance jump or clap to get to that ! I recommend her because I believe you will learn a lot from her as I did, and I’m pretty sure that she won’t disappoint you!

I met Ms. Roberts in the spring of 2017, she was the ESL teacher in WHCCL. She taught me the basic English to the most complicated tenses, in which I'm still working;but her more influential lesson for me, was to get confidence in my knowledge and on myself. She advises me about college, and as result of her confirmation about my English level I took full time college classes, while I was also learning the language and taking care of my family and myself. Later, I was inducted to the PTK, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (ΦΘΚ or PTK) on 2018, I was nominated for the international scholar laureate Program two consecutive years, on 2019 and 2020,and I also get other recognitions that can sound unreal for someone like me, who started to learn English in my late 20’s, and is still learning.
I consider Ms. Roberts as one of the best teachers and one of the most influential persons in my life.

I met Jan when she was instructing an ESL class at West Hills college in Lemoore, California. I sat in her classroom a few times to observe her teach because I was considering teaching ESL myself. Not only did I observe just how well and organized Jan's teaching style was, but I also observed and noticed how generous and trustworthy she is. Jan is an amazing teacher who is thorough and has an excellent "student centered" approach in teaching. I like that she knows how to interact with students and helps students to feel the lessons are fun and engaging. I feel Jan really knows how to reach her students and help her students reach their goals in being able to read, write and speak in the English language. I would encourage anyone who is seeking an ESL teacher or tutor to join Jan's ESL classes and lessons.

I have known Jan Kelley for many years as a friend and a colleague. She is compassionate, smart, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Jan as a competent ESL instructor. You won’t go wrong!
