About Kelly

I have a Master's degree in Education, Specializing in TESOL, (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), from the University of South Florida, a Bachelor's degree in Business and I have a TEFL Certification, (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). I am well versed in adult learning theory and strategies. I have taught ESL/EFL, to adults and children both online, classroom, (one-on-one or small group) for over 15 years.
I have held positions of Adult Learning Adviser and Subject Matter Expert in the field of TESOL/TEFL. I am a self-starter. I, also, have experience creating courses with formalized lesson plans so it is very do-able to customize per the student’s needs.
While working on my Masters’ degree, I was able to add to my previous awards with the following:
• Phi Kappa Phi International Honor Fraternity
• USF Graduate Student Success Fellowship
• Kreplick Scholarship recipient (3.9 GPA).
My biggest career move followed graduation when I began work at DoD, Defense Language Institute, English Language Center as a contractor. While there, I championed, then developed a curriculum for the Field Studies Program. Very quickly, I was hiring, evaluating, and managing 44 contracted Master and Doctoral level instructors. I also acted as a Program Manager (Field Studies) and Deputy Project Manager. While there, I had the opportunity to train (300+ teachers) on technology for the classroom. I believe that I have a lot to offer!
