About Ezra
I hold a B.A. in English Studies and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics, with 8 years of teaching experience guiding learners from beginners to advanced levels. My teaching philosophy emphasizes building strong linguistic foundations, critical thinking, and expressive skills, creating lessons that are engaging, personalized, and tailored to each student’s pace, goals, and interests. I aim to foster curiosity, independent thinking, and enthusiasm for language while helping learners develop fluency, accuracy, and confidence.
I have guided beginners in establishing core grammar and vocabulary, intermediates in enhancing fluency and comprehension, and advanced students in mastering academic and professional communication. Lessons incorporate structured exercises, interactive discussion, and practical application to ensure students build both skill and confidence. I prioritize individualized support, constructive feedback, and encouraging students to explore and experiment with language while cultivating a love for learning.
Outside the classroom, I actively engage with literature, media, and language research, ensuring my teaching stays current, relevant, and culturally informed. Watching learners grow from hesitant speakers to confident, articulate, and insightful communicators is immensely rewarding. My goal is to create a safe environment where students can experiment with language, express themselves authentically, and develop skills that extend beyond academic achievement into real-life communication.
Beginners receive patient guidance with foundational grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, sentence construction, and basic conversation practice to build a strong linguistic base. Intermediate learners refine paragraph writing, oral fluency, comprehension, critical thinking, and analytical reading skills while enhancing expressive abilities. Advanced learners engage in essay writing, research, debate, professional communication, and literary interpretation to reach high levels of proficiency. Each lesson integrates interactive exercises, guided discussions, and constructive feedback to ensure learners steadily progress and achieve mastery in both written and spoken English.
Studying English strengthens intellectual agility, creative expression, and self-assurance. Students develop the ability to communicate effectively in academic, social, and professional contexts. My goal is to help learners become confident, articulate, and thoughtful users of English, capable of expressing ideas clearly, engaging critically with texts, and participating meaningfully in discussions, all while enjoying the learning process.
