About Vaela
I hold an M.A. in English Language and Pedagogy and have 11 years of experience teaching English to students of all ages and proficiency levels. My teaching philosophy combines structured instruction, interactive engagement, and personalized guidance to develop language proficiency, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. I tailor lessons to individual learners’ needs, ensuring clarity, relevance, and meaningful progress. I emphasize patience, encouragement, and active participation. Lessons include grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and discussion practice to develop comprehensive language skills. I aim to cultivate confidence, clarity, and competence in all learners, enabling them to communicate effectively and think critically. Outside of teaching, I engage with literature, language research, and modern pedagogical strategies to enhance lessons and provide authentic learning experiences. Seeing students gain fluency, confidence, and expressive skill in English is immensely rewarding. I provide a supportive environment where learners can explore ideas, ask questions, and refine their language skills while developing confidence in using English for both academic and personal purposes.
Beginners start with grammar foundations, basic vocabulary, sentence construction, and simple writing exercises to build a solid base. Intermediate learners enhance paragraph structure, essay writing, reading comprehension, discussion skills, and vocabulary development. Advanced students focus on nuanced writing, literary analysis, persuasive and argumentative writing, presentation skills, and sophisticated oral expression. Each lesson combines practice, feedback, and personalized guidance to ensure steady, meaningful improvement.
English lessons also enhance analytical thinking, creativity, and effective communication. Students gain the ability to structure ideas logically, express thoughts clearly, and engage thoughtfully with texts and discussions.
